Every store can use the Enviglo bot. On Ultimate, you can bring your own bot instead: you make it on Discord with your own name and picture, and Enviglo runs it. Your members see your bot giving product roles, sending delivery messages and answering the store's commands in your server.
This guide is for store owners and the team members who set up Discord.
Before you start
Your plan: your own bot comes with Ultimate. See Compare plans.
Your role: you need to be the store's owner or an admin, or staff with the permission. See .
Give it a name and, under General Information, an app icon. On the Bot page you can give the bot its own picture too. This is what your members see.
On the Bot page, select Reset Token and copy the token. Discord only shows it once.
You don't need to set an Interactions Endpoint URL or register any commands. Enviglo does both.
Connect it to your store
In your store's dashboard, open Settings → Integrations.
Go to Your own bot.
Paste the token into Bot token and select Connect bot.
Select Invite to your server. Discord opens with your server already chosen. Authorise the bot there.
Back on Enviglo, select Check again. The card says In your server once your bot is in, with Enviglo's commands.
Enviglo checks the token with Discord, keeps it encrypted, and never shows it again. It points your bot's interactions at Enviglo and adds the store's commands to your server.
What your bot does
Product roles. Your bot gives and takes the Discord role you've set on each product. See Discord roles for products. Its role has to sit above the product roles in your server's role list, as the Enviglo bot's does.
Delivery messages. When someone gets one of your products, the message comes from your bot.
Commands. Your bot answers the store's commands in your server: /store, /products, /licenses, /retrieve, /review and the staff ones. See Discord bot commands. /setup stays with the Enviglo bot, because your bot belongs to your store.
Your bot only answers in your store's server. If it can't do something — it isn't in the server yet, its role is too low, or a buyer doesn't share a server with it — the Enviglo bot does it instead, so nobody misses a role or a message.
While the Enviglo bot is in your server too, members see both bots' commands. Remove the Enviglo bot from your server to show only yours.
Your bot shows as offline in the member list. That's expected: it answers through Enviglo, so it never needs to be online.
Change or stop using your bot
New token: if you reset your bot's token on Discord, the card says Not working. Paste the new token into Replace token. Until you do, the Enviglo bot sends your roles and messages.
Stop using it: select Disconnect. Your bot's commands leave your server and the Enviglo bot takes over again. The application stays yours on Discord.
Leaving Ultimate: your bot switches off and the Enviglo bot takes over. Your bot comes back if you return to Ultimate.
Troubleshooting
"Discord didn't accept that token." Reset the token on the Bot page and paste the new one. Make sure you copied the bot's token, not the application's client secret.
"That bot already belongs to another store on Enviglo." Each bot can run for one store. Make a new application for this one.
"That's Enviglo's own bot." Make an application of your own on Discord.
"Connected. Invite your bot to your server to finish." Select Invite to your server, authorise it, then Check again.
Your bot doesn't give a role. Move your bot's role above the product's role in Server Settings → Roles.
