Transfer or close your store

As a store's owner, you can hand the store to someone else, or shut it down. Buyers keep what they bought either way. Only the owner can do any of this.

Just need a break? Pause the store instead, and reopen it whenever you like. See Store settings.

Transfer ownership

Transferring makes someone else the owner. It's on the Team page, not Danger zone.

Before you start

• The new owner has to be on your team already. Invite them, and wait for them to accept. See Invite your team.
• Your plan needs room for them. A Free store's team is just its owner, so you can't invite anyone until the store is on Pro or Ultimate. Stores that came over from myPod have no team limit. See Plans, limits and fees.
• They need room for another store. It counts towards how many stores their own plan lets them own — and the store takes their plan, which may be higher or lower than yours.

Hand the store over

1. In your store's dashboard, open Settings → Team.
2. Under Transfer ownership, enter their username in New owner.
3. Select Transfer.

It happens straight away, with no confirmation step, so check the username first.

What happens

• They become the owner, with full control, including closing or deleting the store. They're notified.
• You become an admin. The new owner can change your role or remove you.
• The store keeps its address, plan, products, licenses, customers and settings.

To leave the team afterwards, select Leave on your own row on the Team page. An owner can't leave without transferring first.

Close or delete your store

Settings → Danger zone removes your store. What it offers depends on the store's history:

• Delete store: when nobody has ever held a license from the store and it has no payment or ad credit records with Enviglo. The store, its products, files, team and settings are removed for good.
• Close store: when the store has had customers, or has payment or ad credit records. The store can't be deleted, so it's closed instead, and what people bought stays theirs. The page says which applies to your store.

Close or delete it

1. In your store's dashboard, open Settings → Danger zone.
2. Read what the page says will happen to your store.
3. Select Close store (or Delete store).
4. Type your store's name exactly as it appears.
5. Select Close store (or Delete forever).

You're taken back to Your stores.

What closing does

• The storefront and every product disappear from Enviglo, and your team loses the store's dashboard.
• API keys, webhooks, the in-game hub, the Roblox connection and any promotions stop, and the store lets go of its Discord server, so that server can be linked to another store.
• Buyers keep everything they bought in their library, and can still download it.
• Any ad credit left is given up.
• The store no longer counts towards how many stores you can own.

Reopen a closed store

You can't reopen a closed store yourself. Contact support, and Enviglo can reopen it. Reopening brings back the storefront, its products and the team's dashboard. API keys and webhooks stay off until you set them up again, and you'll need to connect Roblox and your Discord server again under Settings → Integrations.

A deleted store can't be brought back.

Troubleshooting

• "isn't on this store's team. Invite them first; once they've joined, you can hand the store over." Invite them from the Team page and wait for them to accept.
• "No Enviglo user with that username." Check the spelling of their username.
• "That account is suspended." A suspended account can't own a store.
• "owns 1 store, the most Free allows. Put one on Pro to own up to 3, or Ultimate for 10." The new owner already owns as many stores as their plans allow.
• "Transfer ownership before leaving your store." An owner has to hand the store over before leaving its team.
• "Your plan renews on …" and the button is greyed out. Cancel the plan first, under Manage billing on Settings → Selling, so you aren't charged for a store that's gone. See Plans, limits and fees.
• "Enviglo has suspended this store, so it can't be closed or deleted while that's being resolved." Contact support. See Notices from Enviglo.
• "Type the store name exactly to confirm." The name has to match exactly.
