Leak protection is a small check you put inside a Roblox product. When a game starts, the check asks Enviglo whether that game may run your product, and the product stops if it may not. Every game that asks shows up on the product's Protection tab, so a leaked copy with the check still in it shows up there too.
A game can run the product when:
You have the last word on any one game: you can always let it run, or always stop it.
Someone who takes the check out of a copy can still run that copy. No protection inside a file can stop that. What the check does is stop copies passed around with it still in, and show you where your product is running. Keep your product's main code in the same scripts as the check, so taking it out takes work.
With the switch off, the check still lists every game that runs your product, and lets them all. That's a good way to start: see where your product runs before stopping anything.
How the check behaves:
Games running it lists every game that has run the check, newest first, with who owns it on Roblox and why it runs or was stopped:
To decide for one game yourself, open the menu beside it and choose Always let it run, Always stop it or Let licenses decide. It takes effect the next time the game starts a server.
When a new game without a license runs the check, your team hears about it in their notifications, once a day at most for each product. Members choose whether they get these under A game without a license in Settings. See Account settings.
