Link your Discord account

First version

+ Linking Discord connects your Discord account to your Enviglo account. If you signed up with **Continue with Discord**, it's already linked and there's nothing to do.
   
+ ## Why link Discord
+  
+ - **Sign in with Discord.** Use **Continue with Discord** on the sign-in page.
+ - **Product roles.** A store can connect its Discord server and give a product a role. When you own that product, Enviglo's bot gives you the role in the store's server. It takes the role away if the license is revoked, moved to someone else, or a subscription runs out.
+ - **Delivery messages.** When you buy a product, claim a free one, or a store or another person gives or moves one to you, the bot sends you a direct message on Discord with **Open your library** and **View product** buttons.
+ - **The bot knows who you are.** Commands such as `/licenses` and `/retrieve` in a store's server work with your Enviglo account. See [Discord bot commands](/wiki/discord-bot-commands).
+ - **myPod.** If you used myPod with Discord, your myPod things are on the account linked to that Discord account. See [Coming from myPod](/wiki/coming-from-mypod).

+ ## Link Discord
+  
+ 1. Open [Settings](/settings) and go to **Connected accounts**. In the side menu it's called **Connections**.
+ 2. Next to **Discord**, select **Link**.
+ 3. Discord asks you to allow Enviglo to see your Discord username and picture, your email address and the servers you're in. Approve it.
+ 4. You're back in Settings. Discord shows as **Linked**, with your Discord ID.
+  
+ Enviglo uses your server list to find myPod stores you can claim and, if you run a store, to let you pick its server.
+  
+ A Discord account can only be linked to one Enviglo account. To switch to a different Discord account, unlink the old one, then link the new one.
+  
+ ## Get your product roles
+  
+ For a product's role to reach you:
+  
+ - Link the Discord account you use in the store's server.
+ - Be a member of the store's Discord server.
+ - The store must have set a role for that product. Not every product has one.
+  
+ The bot gives you the role when you buy or claim the product, or when it's given or moved to you. If you joined the server later, linked Discord afterwards, or the role is missing for any other reason, run `/retrieve` in the store's server and pick the product. The bot adds the role if it's missing.
+  
+ ## Unlink Discord
+  
+ In **Connected accounts**, next to **Discord**, select **Unlink**.
+  
+ Once it's unlinked, Enviglo can't give you product roles, change them or send you delivery messages, and the bot won't recognise you. You can't sign in with Discord until you link it again.
+  
+ Before you unlink, make sure you can still get in. Add and confirm an email address under **Sign-in** first. You can't sign in with Roblox, so a linked Roblox account doesn't count. See [Account settings](/wiki/account-settings).

+ If Discord is your only linked account and you have no confirmed email, Enviglo stops you with "You'd have no way to sign in. Confirm an email under Sign-in first, or link another account."
+  
+ ## Troubleshooting
+  
+ - **You didn't get a direct message.** Discord only delivers it if your Discord settings let the bot message you. The product is in your library either way.
+ - **A role is missing.** Run `/retrieve` in the store's server. If the product has no role, there's nothing to give; ask the store. See [Discord roles for products](/wiki/discord-roles-for-products).
+ - **The Discord account is already linked to another Enviglo account.** Enviglo won't link it twice. Sign in to the other account, unlink Discord there, then link it here.
+ - **"Session is not fresh"** when you unlink. Sign out, sign back in, and unlink again.
