You can hand a license you own to another Enviglo user, if the store allows it. The product moves to their library and leaves yours.
## Before you start

- **The store has to allow it.** Stores choose whether customers can transfer licenses, and can block transfers for single products. If a product has no **Transfer** button in your library, its store doesn't allow it.
- **The other person needs an Enviglo account.** You'll need their Enviglo username. See [Create an account and sign in](/wiki/create-an-account).

## Transfer a license

1. Open your [library](/library).
2. Find the product and press **Transfer**.
3. In **New owner**, type the other person's Enviglo username.
4. Press **Transfer license**.

The dialog reminds you that the license moves to their library and leaves yours, and that you can't undo it yourself.

## What happens next

- The license leaves your library straight away and appears in theirs, marked **Transferred**.
- They get a notification that the product was transferred to them, and who it came from.
- In the store's game, the product now belongs to the Roblox account linked to their Enviglo account, not yours.
- If the product comes with a Discord role, the role moves too: it's taken off you, and given to them if they've linked Discord.
- A subscription moves with whatever time it has left.
- The record of your original purchase doesn't change. A transfer moves the license, not the purchase.

## When a transfer isn't allowed

The **Transfer** button only appears when the store allows it. Even then, a transfer is refused when:

- the license isn't active, for example because the store revoked it;
- the license was transferred in the last 7 days, by you or anyone else;
- the other person already owns the product, unless it's a product you can buy more than once;
- the store has banned the other person;
- you've already tried 5 transfers in the last hour.

You'll see one of these messages:

| Message | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **No Enviglo user with that username.** | Check the spelling of their username. |
| **That is you.** | You typed your own username. |
| A message that they already own the product | They hold an active license for it already. |
| A message that they can't receive products from the store | The store has banned them. |
| **This license moved recently.** | It was transferred in the last 7 days. The message gives the date it can move again. |
| **Only active licenses can be transferred.** | The license has been revoked. |
| A message that the store doesn't let customers transfer licenses | The store has switched customer transfers off, or isn't open. |
| A message that the store doesn't allow transfers for this product | The store blocked transfers for this product. |
| **You've transferred a lot just now. Try again in an hour.** | You've tried 5 transfers in the last hour. |

## Getting it back

You can't undo a transfer yourself. The new owner can transfer it back to you once 7 days have passed, or the store can move it for you.

To own the product again, you can also buy it again: a new purchase gives you a new license. This doesn't work for a product you got with a game pass. Joining the store's game again won't bring the license back.

## Common questions

### Can I transfer one copy of a product I bought several times?

Yes. Each purchase of a product you can buy more than once is its own license, so you transfer them one at a time. An older license that covers several copies moves as a whole.

### Can I give a product to someone who isn't on Enviglo?

Not from your library: the new owner needs an Enviglo account and username. Once they've made one, you can transfer to them.
