Some stores make things to order. You can ask through one of a store's services, send a request for custom work, or ask for a commission on a product you own. Everything after that happens in your messages.
Stores that offer services list them on their page, under Services. Each card shows the price it starts from (From and a price in US dollars) or Priced on request, and, if the store has said, how long the work usually takes.
A service marked Fully booked right now isn't taking new requests.
If a store takes custom work, its page has a Request custom work button.
If you own a product and its store takes commissions for it, the product's page shows Request a commission. It works the same way as custom work, and tells the store which product you want something built on.
Nothing is paid when you send a request. The conversation for your request opens in Messages, and the store is told. You can send up to 5 requests an hour.
The store replies with a quote: a price in US dollars, and sometimes a delivery date and a note. It appears in the panel at the top of the request's conversation.
If the store sends a new price before you answer, it replaces the old one. To see every price so far, press the arrow in the corner of the panel (Show details).
Payment isn't made through Enviglo. Once you accept, the panel asks you to sort out payment with the store. Agree in the conversation how and when you'll pay, and the store starts work.
The chip at the top of the panel shows where your request is, and Show details adds a progress bar. Your messages list shows the status beside the conversation too.
| Status | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Open | Waiting for the store to send a price. | Add anything in the conversation, or cancel. |
| Quoted | The store has sent a price. | Accept it or turn it down. |
| Accepted | You've agreed the price. | Sort out payment with the store. |
| In progress | The store is working on it. | Chat in the conversation, raise a problem, or cancel. |
| Delivered | The store says it's done. | Check it, then confirm it or raise a problem. |
| Completed | It's finished. | Nothing more to do. |
| Declined | The store won't take it on. | Send a new request later if you like. |
| Cancelled | You cancelled it. | Send a new request later if you like. |
You get a notification each time the store moves your request on or replies.
When the store marks the work delivered, the panel shows its delivery note, if it wrote one: where to find the work, such as a link, a file name or how to install it.
If you don't confirm, the request completes by itself 7 days after delivery. The panel shows the date.
If something's wrong while the work is in progress or delivered:
Your message goes into the conversation and the store is told straight away. If the work was already delivered, the request goes back to In progress and the 7-day countdown stops. When the store delivers again, you have another 7 days to check it.
You can cancel while a request is Open, Quoted, Accepted or In progress.
The store is told you no longer need it, and the conversation closes. You can send a new request later.
Yes. Once the store takes on your request, you can review it, and when the request is complete the panel links straight to the store's reviews. See Review a product or store.
