+ Some stores make things to order. You can ask through one of a store's services, send a request for custom work, or ask for a commission on a product you own. Everything after that happens in your [messages](/messages).+ ## Before you start++ - You need to be signed in to send a request.+ - You can't request work from a store you're on the team of.++ ## Ways to ask++ ### Request a service++ Stores that offer services list them on their page, under **Services**. Each card shows the price it starts from (**From** and a price in US dollars) or **Priced on request**, and, if the store has said, how long the work usually takes.++ 1. Open the store's page, go to **Services** and pick one.+ 2. The service's page describes the work and **How it works**. In the panel headed **Request** and the service's name, answer the store's questions. You have to answer the required ones.+ 3. Press **Send request**.++ A service marked **Fully booked right now** isn't taking new requests.++ ### Request custom work++ If a store takes custom work, its page has a **Request custom work** button.++ 1. Press **Request custom work**.+ 2. Fill in:+ - **Title**: what you need, in a few words (at least 3 characters).+ - **Brief**: details, references and your deadline (at least 10 characters).+ - **Budget**: optional.+ 3. Press **Send request**.++ ### Request a commission on a product++ If you own a product and its store takes commissions for it, the product's page shows **Request a commission**. It works the same way as custom work, and tells the store which product you want something built on.++ ### After you send it++ Nothing is paid when you send a request. The conversation for your request opens in [Messages](/messages), and the store is told. You can send up to 5 requests an hour.++ ## Agree a price++ The store replies with a quote: a price in US dollars, and sometimes a delivery date and a note. It appears in the panel at the top of the request's conversation.++ - To agree, press **Accept**. The button shows the price.+ - To say no, press **Turn down**. You can say what you'd change, and the store can then send a new price.++ If the store sends a new price before you answer, it replaces the old one. To see every price so far, press the arrow in the corner of the panel (**Show details**).++ ## Paying++ Payment isn't made through Enviglo. Once you accept, the panel asks you to sort out payment with the store. Agree in the conversation how and when you'll pay, and the store starts work.++ ## Follow the work++ The chip at the top of the panel shows where your request is, and **Show details** adds a progress bar. Your messages list shows the status beside the conversation too.++ | Status | What it means | What you can do |+ | --- | --- | --- |+ | **Open** | Waiting for the store to send a price. | Add anything in the conversation, or cancel. |+ | **Quoted** | The store has sent a price. | Accept it or turn it down. |+ | **Accepted** | You've agreed the price. | Sort out payment with the store. |+ | **In progress** | The store is working on it. | Chat in the conversation, raise a problem, or cancel. |+ | **Delivered** | The store says it's done. | Check it, then confirm it or raise a problem. |+ | **Completed** | It's finished. | Nothing more to do. |+ | **Declined** | The store won't take it on. | Send a new request later if you like. |+ | **Cancelled** | You cancelled it. | Send a new request later if you like. |++ You get a notification each time the store moves your request on or replies.++ ## Delivery++ When the store marks the work delivered, the panel shows its delivery note, if it wrote one: where to find the work, such as a link, a file name or how to install it.++ 1. Check the work over.+ 2. If it's right, press **Confirm it's done**.++ If you don't confirm, the request completes by itself 7 days after delivery. The panel shows the date.++ ### Raise a problem++ If something's wrong while the work is in progress or delivered:++ 1. Press **Raise a problem**.+ 2. Say what's wrong in a sentence or two, then press **Send**.++ Your message goes into the conversation and the store is told straight away. Raising a problem doesn't pause the 7-day countdown after delivery, so raise it as soon as you spot something.++ ## Cancel a request++ You can cancel while a request is **Open**, **Quoted**, **Accepted** or **In progress**.++ 1. In the request's conversation, press the arrow in the corner of the panel (**Show details**).+ 2. Press **Cancel request**, then **Cancel request** again to confirm.++ The store is told you no longer need it, and the conversation closes. You can send a new request later.++ ## Common questions++ ### Can I review the store afterwards?++ When a request is complete, the panel links to the store's reviews. Only customers who own a product from the store can leave a store review.
